I nominated St. Viateur Bagel Bakery for the CBC radio 2 Songquest contest and I want you to support this nomination. Why? Because  the Montreal bagel is a total experience….and I think a song is one way that the St. Viateur Bagel Bakery can be conveyed to people across our country and around the world.

Walking into the St. Viateur Bakery is a walk back into time ….. The bakery has not changed since the 1950s when that part of Montreal was the centre of  the community and culture. The wood fired kiln is still used…the wondrous smells of freshly baked bagels….all the same as it has been for decades. No bagel anywhere compares with these – I know that claim is made all the time – and it’s about time a song is sung to settle this once and for all. Vote for the St. Viateur Montreal Bagels!
